AUDAC Powers Rogers Stadium: Canada’s Largest Outdoor Concert Venue Gets a Complete Audio Overhaul

If you are a Creator, Integrator, Consultant, or a Production Company, AVL Media Group is here to support your project.

Case study Info

Rogers Stadium, located in Toronto, is Canada’s largest purpose-built outdoor concert venue, welcoming up to 60,000 visitors for major live events. When Live Nation Canada needed a professional audio solution for the venue’s guest experience areas, they turned to a team that knows how to deliver at scale: AVL Media Group, in collaboration with system integrators Production Service Industries (PSI) and Kyle Porter Audio Ltd.

Challenge and Solution

The project scope covered all non-bowl areas of Rogers Stadium, including the Fan Plaza, entrance zones, VIP lounges, concourses, and hospitality spaces. The system needed to meet specific operational demands: weather resistance for outdoor zones, consistent coverage across acoustically diverse environments, and the flexibility to be redeployed season after season without compromising performance.

The solution was built around the AUDAC ecosystem, selected for its scalability, network reliability, and proven performance in large-scale commercial installations.

Equipment Used

At the heart of the installation is the AUDAC LUNA-F Flexible Network Audio Matrix Processor, providing centralized routing, zoning, paging, and source management across the entire site via a Dante™ and AES67 network infrastructure.

Loudspeaker selection was matched to each area’s unique requirements:

  • HS212T horn loudspeakers deliver long-throw coverage across outdoor gathering spaces and concourses
  • VIRO5 compact performance loudspeakers provide high-quality background music in premium hospitality areas
  • ARCHI series architectural subwoofers add discreet low-frequency reinforcement in VIP lounges
  • VEXO112 and VEXO108 performance loudspeakers, supported by BASSO118 subwoofers, power the venue’s Beer Tent for a more energetic experience

The system is driven by SMQ series amplifiers (SMQ500, SMQ750, SMQ1250, SMA750) and completed by NPM200 Dante/AES67 paging stations, NCP105 network wall control panels, NIO240 network I/O interfaces, ANI44XT and ANX44X Dante network interfaces, and an XMP44 SourceCon™ modular media source.

Results and Benefits

The result is a fully integrated, scalable audio ecosystem that covers every touchpoint of the Rogers Stadium guest experience, from the moment visitors enter the Fan Plaza to their time in VIP hospitality and the Beer Tent. The Dante network backbone ensures flexibility and simplified deployment, while the AUDAC hardware delivers consistent, high-quality audio performance regardless of the zone.

Key benefits of the installation include:

  • Consistent audio coverage across all non-bowl areas, regardless of outdoor conditions
  • Centralized zone management and paging from a single network processor
  • Scalable architecture that supports annual redeployment with minimal reconfiguration
  • Seamless audio transitions between high-energy entertainment zones and premium hospitality spaces

Final Words

This project stands as a reference installation for large-scale seasonal venues in Canada. Delivered through AVL Media Group and expertly implemented by PSI and Kyle Porter Audio Ltd., the Rogers Stadium audio system demonstrates how the AUDAC platform scales from intimate hospitality environments to major public venues, without sacrificing flexibility, reliability, or ease of operation.
