How to Manually Extract the Log Files from an HD96

There may be certain instances where you may be asked to manually extract the log files from an HD96 console.

These files can be exported onto a USB memory stick.

Follow the procedure below:

  1. Press the MENU button
  2. Press the SERVICE PAGE button
  3. The service management page will open.  A password will be required
  4. Type in “donkey”
  5. The service management page will now fill with various options.  Do NOT press any of these boxes as they are for service diagnostics only and may affect the operation of the mixer.
  6. Touch the screen outside of the service management page and it will disappear.
  7. Press the MENU button
  8. Press the FILE MANAGER button
  9. The file manager page will open.
  10. Insert a USB memory stock (8GB or larger) into the surface USB connector and select it when it appears in the middle of the screen.  Any files already on the stick will appear in the right hand side of the screen
  11. At the bottom right hand corner of the screen there will be a button labelled EXPORT LOG.
  12. Press the EXPORT LOG button and the files will automatically be downloaded onto the USB stick
  13. A progress bar will appear on the screen and will advise when the upload onto the USB stick is finished.
  14. Remove the USB stick
  15. Press the MENU and SERVICE PAGE button
  16. The service management page will re-appear.
  17. Press the LOG OUT button.  If the password is missing, then type in “donkey” and then press LOG OUT
  18. Press outside the service management page and it will close.
  19. The HD96 will operate normally again
  20. Zip the log files on the USB stick and email them back to the Music Tribe technician or to AVL as requested for evaluation.
